Phenotype

Ob kleinste Partikel oder globale Strukturen, in der Ausstellung »Phénotype« untersucht Ilka Helmig die Erscheinungsweisen von Bildern und Objekten. Eine festgelegte Systematik bestimmt dabei Form und Gesetzmäßigkeit der Rauminstallation. So entsteht eine ortsspezifische Struktur, die während der Ausstellungsdauer wächst und durch Zeichnungen, Fotografien und Mikroskopien ergänzt wird.

Whether microscopic particles or global structures, in »Phénotype« Ilka Helmig explores the appearances of images and objects. Form und regularity of the installation follow a predefined system. Her site-specific installation is a structure that grows during the exhibition by continuous addition of drawings, photographs and microscopic elements.
